With it's stunning location on beautiful Onetangi Beach, our purpose-built venue The Dunes on Onetangi, offers an elegant setting for gatherings of 50 guests to larger, more formal wedding receptions of up to 150 guests. Two large outdoor courtyard areas, one with landscaped gardens, a water feature and outdoor fireplace, the other with the golden sands of the beach as a backdrop, provide the perfect setting for the ceremony itself. Alternatively you may wish to hold the ceremony on the beach and then retire to The Dunes for bubbles and canapés before being seated for dinner.

Our staff will assist you from day one with your wedding plans as much as possible leading up to, and on the day itself, to ensure the day runs smoothly and exceeds your expectations. We only hold one wedding a day, so your beach wedding will not be interrupted to make way for others.

Along with suggestions on local florists, wedding celebrants, cake decorators, bridal cars, photographers, entertainment options, we can also help with your ferry and on-island transport requirements to make your wedding on Waiheke a viable and easy option.

Our Executive Chef has produced a selection of menus, featuring the finest local produce. It is imperative that you are happy with your chosen menu, and should you prefer, we can arrange a meeting with our Executive Chef where you can discuss alternative options to the menus provided.

Accommodation can be provided at nearby Waiheke Island Resort which features 52 units comprising 1 and 2 bedroom luxury villas and chalets, as well as the larger 4 bedroomed Condominium and The Lodge, which feature 5 bedrooms on 3 levels.
